The Mirror Technique

Such a powerful technique!! This is a GREAT place to start practicing awareness because it is one of the easiest exercises I’ve found for listening to your inner dialogue.

  • Step 1: Wake up in the morning and go into the bathroom,

     

  • Step 2: Go look at yourself in the mirror,

     

  • Step 3: Pause and Listen to the inner dialogue happening within,

     

  • Step 4: What are the thoughts that run through your mind when you look at yourself?

     

  • Step 5: Write them down in a journal (track your thoughts over 5 days to become aware of thought patterns) 

** you can do this every time you look at yourself in the mirror to really start tuning into your thoughts and thought patterns. This will teach you to become aware of the inner dialogue you are having with yourself.
