Lesson 1: Intro to CTRL + ALT + DLTE

Welcome to CTRL +ALT +DLTE – a course designed to educate you on the conscious and subconscious mind, the internal programs you are currently running on, and strategies on how to update your “software” and run on new programming that you choose.

Everything we do in life is a choice, we get to choose if we want to be the same version of ourselves that we’ve always been because it is comfortable to us, or if we want to choose to be something different, and that choice can begin today no matter our age, ethnicity or current circumstances.

It all begins with a choice to choose.

So many times we have the belief system that we do what we do because that is how we were taught and we “have” to remain this way for the rest of our lives because it’s how we grew up, or because we’ve been doing it forever. But, that’s far from the truth! We actually have the choice to continue choosing to be that way or changing.

Change requires us to “update” our software, changing our belief systems, thought patterns, behavioral patterns, and emotional patterns to respond a different way to life.

Real Talk:

Change is NOT easy! In fact it can be really hard, at first.

This is because of the programming and belief systems that have been instilled in you since you were a child.

When we begin unentangling out of those and looking at our patterns – the ones that show up daily without us even knowing they are there until we begin bringing awareness to them; we then understand the power of choice and just how powerful our choices are to create our reality.

At first, everything in our being wants to fight the change. This is because the subconscious mind doesn’t like change – it prefers habit and routine.

But thanks to the way the brain is designed, our neural pathways are designed to fire together and wire together over time. So this means the more we practice something new, the better we become at it and the easier it becomes; over time.

Change is not something that happens overnight, it takes time and patience.

Change requires consistency and repetition to form new habits.

As new habits are formed over time, those habits become the new normal to operate on.

Gradually you will begin to notice that it is easier to shift into the new way of thinking, or the new emotion or the new behavior faster and faster until the old way doesn’t even show up anymore.

These new habits become new pathways in the brain for new thought patterns to emerge, which then trickles into other areas of your life for example creating new behaviors that then become the norm for you to run on automatically.

Once you get to the automatic phase of running the new habits, you no longer need to think or consciously “reprogram” that old habit.

The rest of this course will provide you with several exercises to reprogram the subconscious mind. As you go through this course remember consistency and repetition are key.
